I'm a bit concerned about our animation workshop tommorow. I ordered the supplies we needed last Saturday and received a confirmation for the order on Sunday but there is still no sign of it being delivered. I obviously won't have it tommorow, meaning I won't be able to crack on with the animating, is anyone else in the same position? Hopefully we won't all be expected to be equipped tommorow.
On the other hand, we start the next phase of character animation with Alan, which I am really looking forward to. It looks like we'll begin to be introduced to rigging and animating limbs, which I cannot wait for, as the animations I pushed out in my pre-viz were shameful!
It might be worth having a look at the alternative list that Phil posted on the UCA blog...ie piece of cardboard, masking tape etc...I'm sure one of your classmates will lend you a little pile of paper and you can replace it when yours arrives !
Hey Sam, I'm in the same boat really. I ordered on Monday and didn't hear anything from them until today, in which they say I should receive it tomorrow on Friday. So unless its delivered bright and early I'll won't have the materials either :(
Don't worry guys - between us, we'll find a way to make the most of the workshop - you'll learn loads anyway, and there are more workshops after this one - so panic not. Meg is aware that not everyone will have the supplies - there's always the UCA shop for cardboard and I'll do whatever I can to ensure you can participate :-)
I ordered last thursday and got a confromation the same day then nothing. I got concerned on tuesday so I emailed Gill and she said I should have got a second that I have to reply too, to confirm the prices. Gill was very helpful and we got it dispatched on wednesday for thursday. If your worried where it is or haven't got a 'is this price right' email then contact Gill :)
